Our Team: James R. Hutter, CPA Jim founded Hutter & Associates, P.C. in 1982. As president of the firm, he provides accounting, audit, tax, estate planning and advisory services for various commercial businesses, individuals and governmental entities. A significant portion of Jim's time is devoted to serving business and individual clientele in tax planning and research. Jim has over thirty years of public accounting experience. Prior to forming Hutter & Associates, he served as a tax manager of the South Bend, Elkhart & Niles offices of Coopers & Lybrand, a national accounting firm. Jim is a 1972 graduate of Western Michigan University. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, which he had served as chairman of the Southwestern Chapter. Jim also served four years as an enlisted man in the United States Air Force. Jim's outside interests include spending time with his family, golf (as much as possible) and an occasional trout fishing trip. Matthew E. Hollander, CPA, MBA Matt is the Manager and IT Specialist at Hutter & Associates. Matt's specialties include developing efficient and sustainable accounting systems and networks for companies. Matt also prepares individual and corporate tax returns and is involved with audit, review and compilation engagements. Matt also specializes in selecting software packages for businesses in various industries. Matt has worked in public accounting since 1998. Previous to this experience, he worked for a large private company as an accountant and was involved in implementing early technology advancements for the company. Matt is a graduate of Western Michigan University. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. He has been a board member for several not for profit organizations and occasionally is a presenter on utilizing technology in the workplace and e-business strategies for small businesses. Matt's outside interests include recreational sports, hiking, vacations and figuring out how things work.
